Waltham Volleyball has searched the internet and all available resources to bring you the most information we possibly can about volleyball camps and off-season training opportunities.


Camps generally fill up quickly (by April or May) so be sure to register early!

Summary: All three sessions are resident camps where players are housed and fed at Bentley College facilities. Camp activities run from 9am until 9pm each day. Session 1 is for all junior high and senior high school girls and focuses on individual skills. Session 2 groups high school teams together to work on offensive and defensive strategies. Session 3 is for high school seniors or juniors with Varsity or Junior Olympic experience and is also open college players.

Summary: This program offers several camps for players of varying skill levels. General Skills sessions run in the morning and open to nearly all levels of players. The afternoon position camps start the first week with JV level players then moves up the following week to JV and Varsity players and ends with the higher level hitters only. The evening competition camps are for higher level JV and Varsity players. There is also a Masspike Camp with sessions at Chelmsford High August 14-18, see their website for more details.

Summary: Boston College is offering one overnight volleyball camp and three clinics this summer. Summary: Newton Parks and Recreation, and SMASH Volleyball is offering a series of Volleyball Clinics, for High School Boy and Girl Athletes. Each camp focuses on a specific position-skill area. Each week requires 6 hours each day for 5 days - 30 hours of strongly coached, demanding volleyball drills in one specialty position. Week 1 focues on setting, Week 2 on Attacking and Week 3 on Defense-Passing.

Summary: This year's clinic will ecompass FOUR days of instruction, approximately 28 hours, emphasizing all skills. Each participant will receive a tune-up t-shirt and certificate upon completion. The camp will provide a lunch each day right on Northeastern's campus. The clinic is limited to no more than 10 participants per coach and no more than 130 athletes in total. Groups and teams will be assigned according to ability and individual considerations. The clinic features college and high school coaches along with current and former NU players.

Summary: No website for this camp, just a flyer. This camp is for girls grades 9-12. Camp includes skill stations, team skills, tournaments every afternoon, 3 on 3 championship, skill videotaping, camp T-shirt, skill evaluation, camp certificate, played on 6 full courts. Camp Director Tom Turco (397-43) is the 18-year veteran Barnstable H.S. head coach with nine State Championships to his credit and has been named Boston Globe Coach of the Year 4 times - to name a few of his achievements and honors. In addition to Turco, the camp staff includes standout players, college and high school coaches. Camp was full last year.

Summary: UNH Head Coach Jill Hirschinger hosts her eighth annual summer volleyball camp and will be assisted by other collegiate coaches and players. Players will learn all aspects of the game, from individual skills to team performance. The camp takes place at the scenic University of New Hampshire campus. Campers will be housed in campus dormitories and served nutritious meals. All activities will be supervised by camp counselors. The camp is open to girls ages 12 to 18. Players will be divided into groups to match their own skill level, age, or experience. All resident plans include a camp Volleyball (limit of 100), T-shirt and water bottle.
