Student-Faculty Game

Continuing our Waltham Volleyball tradition, the current teams will square off against WHS teachers, faculty and staff on Monday, October 29. Games start at 2:30 pm and will run until about 4:00 pm.

WHS staffers will contribute to the team's booster club for the right to compete.

We look forward to another exciting and fun day of games.

All JV and JV-B players are reminded to return their uniforms to the coaches at this event.

MIAA Tournament Seedings

Waltham's Varsity team will learn their seeding in the state tournament on Wednesday October 31st.

The Hawks will play in the Central East Section. First round action begins November 1st and 2nd, Quarter Final Round action is November 5th and 6th. Some teams may receive a first round bye.

Semi-Final action is held November 7th and 8th and the Sectional Finals held on Saturday November 10th.

Winners of the Sectional Finals from each region move on to the State Final Four.

Pizza Uno's Fundraiser

The Waltham Volleyball Booster Club held its annual Uno's Fundraiser on Thursday October 25th.

All day long, supporters were able to stop by Unos and eat in or dine out to help the team. A portion of the sales we generate will be returned to the booster club.

Senior Day enior Day)

The LadyHawks finished out their regular season home schedule with a match against GBL foe Malden on this day. The Hawks won and clinched their first outright league title since the Suburban League Championship team did it in 1978.

Keeping with Waltham and league tradition, we honored the senior players from both teams in a brief ceremony before the 5pm Varsity start time. Each senior received team colored roses after their name was announced to the crowd.

For the LadyHawks, underclassmen players read short biographies of each senior during the introductions. Senior Keisha Gilles then wowed the crowd with a beautiful singing rendition of our National Anthem.

Congrats to all nine of our senior varsity players.

WHS Ahtletes Clean Up Waltham Day

As part of the Waltham Hawks commitment to community service, nearly 30 members of the varsity, JV and JV-B volleyball teams joined their fellow student athletes in the school's 2nd annual Clean Up Waltham Day.

In total, more than 180 Athletes and coaches hit the streets of Waltham and cleaned various areas of city.

The Mayor's Office provided pizza and soda following the Clean Up.

Thanks to everyone that planned and took part in this event making it such a great success.

Waltham Volleyball Hosted its 2nd Annual MetroBoston Volleyball Summit - Preseason Jamboree

For the second year in a row Waltham Volleyball hosted its Pre-Season MetroBoston Volleyball Summit (Jamboree). This year's participants included Arlington, Cambridge, Concord-Carlisle and Newton South.

Know Fat provided lunch at a discounted price and the Bentley College Falcons NCAA Division 2 Women's Volleyball Team again conducted a training session on sportsmanship, teamwork and leadership.
